Steps to Reduce Unsolicited Commercial Email.
You receive unsolicited email for products or services or "spam" because your email address has been copied by person or by a computer program that searches websites and newsgroup postings for email addresses.

Sites that are created by Frontier Interactive contain code in the homepages which prevents the computer programs from recognizing your email address. I have observed less spam since using the code.  However, there are other sources of spam and unsolicited email seems to reach you, me, and others.

Steps to Reduce Unsolicited Email.
Frontier Interactive can control the receipt of unsolicited email by blocking it out from the server. The following directions are for server clients of Frontier Interactive. Follow the directions for the browser and version which you use to access your email from the careerfrontier.net server:

Netscape Communicator 4.04 or higher

  1. In Netscape, from File menu, select 'New Folder". Name folder as "spam" as a sub-folder of Inbox.
  2. As you receive unsolicited email, or other unwanted email, move the messages to the spam folder you created.
  3. When the spam folder contains about ten email messages, send an email to antispam@careerfrontier.net with your spam file as an attachment according to the directions below. Do not simply give me the email addresses of the spammers. For technical reasons, I need a copy of the actual email messages that contains sender information in the header of the message that you can't see.
  4. Begin a new email to antispam@careerfrontier.net .
  5. Click on the attachment ico. Select "File".
  6. Search your hard drive (C:) for the Netscape folder.
  7. Open the Netscape folder, open the Users folder, open the Users1 folder, open the Mail folder, open the Inbox.sbd folder. Select the file named spam.  Do not select the file named spam.snm.
  8. If you completed step 7 correctly, the attachment file pathway will read like: C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\Users1\Mail\Indox.sbd\spam
  9. Send your message to antispam@careerfrontier.net  .  We recommend that you carbon copy yourself on this message.
  10. You will receive an autoreply message confirming receipt of your submission.

If you have any questions, please contact us at active@careerfrontier.net

Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher
Instructions for Internet Explorer will be added at a later time. The procedure is similar to the one described above. Set up a new folder within Outlook Express. Save messages to the folder. Send a message to antispam@careerfrontier.net with an attachment as described above. You will need to search the IE folders for the spam folder file.
