Originally published in the Burlington County Times, May 21, 2002 Medford -- Frontier !nteractive, an Internet marketing firm based here, is now in the movie business. Hoverground Studios, a company based in Brooklyn, NY, that earlier this month won the
best feature film award for "Operation Midnight Climax" at the Brooklyn International Film Festival, has signed with the Medford firm to manage and improve its Wed site.Hoverground founder Will Keenan, who also stars
in the film, hired Frontier !nteractive to help get the word out about the movie and the studio, said Timothy Kearns, Frontier president. "The main goal is to aid in their distribution goals and helping to find
distributors and thus theaters (to show the film),' he said. The company was hired to maintain Hoverground sites, adding updates, listing show times, and formatting film clips for view on the site. Kearns said
Frontier also will work to make sure fans can find the information on the Internet about Hoverground's stars and other titles. "They really needed to be found," said Kearns. To accomplish that, Kearns and his
wife, Michelle, are developing a content-rich site that will be easy to find on the Internet. "Top on the priority list is making sure they're found when typing in a movie name (Hoverground or actors' names) on whatever
search engine is being used," Kearns said. Timothy and Michelle Kearns, both former marketing and advertising professionals, started the company in 1998. While Frontier is headquartered in Medford, its also has a
technical office in Barcelona, Spain, where Web content is translated into Spanish, French, and Italian and technical Internet issues are evaluated and resolved. Another client, California-based NAC Image Technology,
a company that develops and sells high-speed cameras that can take 10,000 photographs per second, has benefited from having their Web site easily found by searchers using any search engine, Kearns said. "There is
only a couple manufacturers (like NAC) in the world," he said. ### |
